Dr. Georgios Zontos participated with a highly active scientific role at the 48th International S.I.TRI. Congress (Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration) in Rome, representing both Greece and the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS).
As Secretary of the ABHRS, he delivered the lecture:
“Your Path to Excellence: Becoming an ABHRS Diplomate”,
highlighting the importance of international board certification, surgical education, and high standards in Hair Restoration Surgery.
Dr. Zontos also presented the keynote lecture:
“Non-Shaven FUE: A Patient-Centered Evolution of Conventional FUE”,
focusing on the modern evolution of Non-Shaven FUE, its comparison with Long Hair FUE, and the importance of graft quality preservation and donor area management.
In addition, he participated as moderator at the ISHRS Live Surgery Workshop, where advanced live surgical demonstrations were performed, including:
• Long Hair FUE
• Non-Shaven FUE
• Eyebrow transplantation
For his overall contribution to the workshop, Dr. Zontos received a special recognition award from the organizers.
It was a particular honor that he was the only Greek physician participating in the congress with an active role both as an invited speaker and as a moderator in an international live surgery workshop.
The clinic’s Chief Nurse, Ilona Shchur, also attended the congress, actively following the scientific program and receiving an official certificate of attendance.
The continuous participation of the Zontos Hair & Skin Clinic team in major international scientific meetings reflects the clinic’s commitment to continuous education, international scientific developments, and the implementation of the most modern techniques in Hair Restoration Surgery
